A 2015 graduate of the Nantes School of Fine Arts, Clément Vinette’s work lies at the intersection of documentary film, installation, and performance. His works are united by the way they play with narratives and reality. Drawing on his own social experiences and encounters, he explores and develops themes centered on the concepts of “territory,” “displacement,” and “translation.”
Alongside his personal work, he is a theater actor with director Maryline Leray. Additionally, from 2017 to 2021, he co-founded and participated in the TRAVERSER program, an artistic research residency project in Lima, Peru, in collaboration with artist Nahomi Del Aguila. It was within this framework that he made his first film, “Lurìn.” Since 2022, he has been the recipient of the City of Nantes Visual Arts Award.
