A Communist for over 30 years—having worked as an assembly-line worker before becoming president of the PCF’s second-largest federation, the Nord Federation—Annick Mattighello has served since 2001 as mayor of Louvroil. This town of 7,000 inhabitants is located in the Val de Sambre, the hardest-hit area of the Nord department.
Through Annick’s day-to-day commitment, this documentary seeks to rediscover the meaning and spirit of political action.
