A teacher of French and history-geography, Julie Rambaud left the French public school system to devote herself fully to creating a traveling cinema dedicated to promoting short films.
After converting an old school bus and spending a year traveling through Portugal, where she launched the first edition of the Le plein de Super festival, she returned with the mobile cinema to the Pays de la Loire region, where the festival continues to this day. As the multifunctional coordinator of the association La boîte carrée, she oversees, among other things, the selection and programming of films.
In 2013, she co-directed Suite à un voyageur with Yan Rambaud, an audiovisual collage inspired by a novel. Her fascination with archival footage and film led her to her first documentary film centered on her new home base: Paimboeuf.
