A graduate of INSAS (the Higher Institute of Performing Arts in Brussels) with a degree in Film Directing, Mathilde Mignon began her career in documentary filmmaking with her graduation film, “Seven Alphabets for a Single Sea”, which won awards at various film festivals.

She directed “Folles Mémoires d’un caillou”, “Une étoile et moi”, “Dehors”, “Femmes au charbon”, and “La Terre et le temps” for Arte, France 3, and local channels (Brittany, Hauts-de-France, Île-de-France).

She also co-directed with Philippe Crnogorac the feature-length film Planète Sanseverino (96’, produced by Céline Loiseau – TS productions, 2022), following the musician-singer through his concerts and the recording of a new album.

She spent seven years filming a family of Breton farmers for “C’est l’avenir qui nous le dira” (76’, produced by Gilles Padovani – Mille et Une Films, 2024). As the city continues to encroach on the countryside, the film explores the destinies of a father and son, a farm, and a region.

At the same time, Mathilde Mignon leads documentary filmmaking workshops.
