Bruno Latour was an ecological philosopher, a thinker in the field. Although he is no longer with us, his words continue to circulate on the web and echo those of Laurence, Jérôme, Oumy and others. These ‘Earthlings’ are trying, from a field in Finistère, a city in Wallonia, the outskirts of a port in Senegal or the foothills of the Alps, to describe their territories, explore their interdependencies and attempt to combine geology, biology and sociology. Each in their own way, they are contributing to the emergence of an “ecological class”. This is a movement that Bruno had been calling for: from this awareness, a balance of power will be established to defend a habitable world.
