Marcel Brient

A collector at work, Marcel Brient

2017 • 52'

Marcel Brient is one of France’s most important collectors of contemporary art. He was often the first to spot Jeff Koons, Ai Weiwei, Murakami, Gonzalez-Torres and other big names in art today. His collection now includes hundreds of pieces, including many masterpieces by Giacometti, Miro or Fernand Léger.

Now in his twilight years, he looks back on his career, from his days as a young periwinkle fisherman running along the shores of Ile-Grande to becoming a world-renowned expert. Implicit in his story is a unique vision of art.
