In the 1950s, in the salt marshes of Guérande, the word ‘paludière’ still referred only to the wives of salt workers, working without status, in the shadow of their husbands. Today, 15% of them run their own businesses. Dominique, Véronique and Morgane talk about how their role has evolved in a profession that is still predominantly male.
