Since she was a child, Emma has known that her life expectancy is limited. On the day of her diagnosis, it was estimated that she would not live past the age of thirty-five. She is now twenty-nine. Her illness affects her nervous system and she is gradually losing control of her voluntary muscle movements. In a wheelchair since she was three, thie stigma is at the centre of her life, present in every day, she copes with and defies it.
Lucid, Emma wants to live her life to the fullest, asserting who she is and where she wants to go. And to make her vision a reality, she has surrounded herself with four women, her personal assistants. Gaïdig, Paulette, Solène and Juliette accompany Emma, living and sharing her daily life. They move forward together. As an organised gang, they experiment, forge their relationship with the world and make up their own working environment.
