The future

Emmaël, from Cameroon, and Pauline, from France, met in Nantes when they were teenagers. Four years later, in June 2023, after five years of administrative battles, Emmaël obtained his first residence permit. They thought they would finally be able to live a more peaceful life with their daughter Maëline, who was born a few months later. The young mixed couple formed by Emmaël and Pauline, impacted on a daily basis by Emmaël’s still fragile administrative situation, is a sensitive and subtle sounding board for the issues that preoccupy our society. Little by little, these two people with such different life experiences are learning to live together.
